On April 18th, 2012, UNC GREENSBORO DOMESTIC INTEGRITY FIELD TEST…

  Domestic Integrity Fields

pile of old student clothing waiting to becinme something else

…begins today as I arrive to their glass Gatewood Gallery where a mountain of old clothes, fabrics, towels, and sheets have been donated and collected for me in advance of my arrival – so after much thought about this new long-term collective traveling rug-making activity, later to be used as a stage/field/platform/lounge upon which local domestic interior patterns, recipes, traditions, activities etc, (I’m still trying to figure out how to talk about this project) are presented, which I’m calling Domestic Integrities – but for this morning, the urgent focus is on firing up the coffee and tea, baking my spelt bread, and preparing my winter vegetable/lentil soup, to feed the students who will be dropping by over next three days to hopefully help out.
