Leo Carrillo State Beach

…was always one of my favorite city escapes when I first moved to LA from NYC in 1999, when everything was all California Dreaming newness to me, which it feels like all over again, while inspired to rediscover the city after being in and out, but mostly out, of town for the past few years  – and back on the beach today for walking and reading and collecting a few marine artifacts I could count the number of people on two hands.
