what’s coming out of the ground in January? squash, peppers, tomatoes, lemons, nasturtiums…

…this morning included tomatoes (!) and peppers (!!) ripened in our recent unseasonably warm temps (and drought thanks to our Ridiculously Resilient Ridge while the Eastern and Midwestern US struggles with their Polar Vortex) in addition to the squashes, lemons and nasturtiums you might expect finding in an LA garden this time of year.
