= tuesday / august 30th / 9am / ...
= monday / august 29th / 9am / the hulking 16,000 square foot space is vast & vacant. ready for something to happen. beautiful peace before the chaos, and overwhelmed by the cavernous size. last minute freak out as floor is being cleaned, can we do this? / 11am / the 4 foot gridlines get snapped down across the vast expanse....just as the early pioneers of the american west had done, the easiest way to stake your claim. the feeling that you can actually control it all. / noon / more help arrives, a truck pulls in full of massive paper tubes. they look like beautiful fake logs, just harvested. they make a nice temporary forest in the corner! what a perfect start. they are then systematically chopped down into the furniture for the experiment. / 4pm /cardboard 'boulders' created by the students are delivered. a wonderful instant landscape is created. we will use them for participant's project identification. part zen garden, part poetic recycling center.
= sunday / august 28th / 10am / the wind tunnel is not ready for us! the experiment will have to begin tomorrow. relief, panic and anticipation all together!
